Kitchen in Enskede

In this home in Enskede, south of Stockholm, a dated red kitchen in a typical 2010s style was reimagined into a light, airy, and timeless space. The closed upper cabinets were replaced with open shelving, creating a more spacious and inviting atmosphere in warm beige tones.

At the center is a large kitchen island with a solid Douglas fir countertop from Dinesen, paired with light terrazzo worktops along the walls. The open shelves and custom range hood are finished in the same wood as the island, tying the design together. Chrome knobs and black wall-mounted fixtures add subtle contrast. The result is a soft, welcoming kitchen where materials and tones integrate naturally with the rest of the home’s interior.
