This project involved rethinking the layout of a family home in Danderyd, a beautiful villa area in northern Stockholm. For a family of five, the goal was to create a more open and social space by moving the kitchen into the former living room. The proposal is a bright, spacious kitchen with a large island, dining area, and a sunroom-style veranda with built-in seating—perfect for gatherings and everyday life.

The old kitchen is transformed into a cozy TV room, and the inner hallway becomes a quiet library. A soft grey palette runs throughout, with the kitchen island in a muted green that picks up the tone of the home’s original mullioned windows. The proposal brings the social areas together while giving the private spaces a more secluded feel.
